A practical guide
Three prayer prompts after reading Proverbs 31
Start here
Read Proverbs 31 and choose one theme for a short prayer. These prompts are original suggestions, not Bible quotations.
Read before choosing a prompt
Notice generosity in verse 20, wise speech in verse 26, and reverence for the Lord in verse 30. Read the full poem so each theme stays connected to its setting.

Choose the prompt that fits today
Complete one sentence in your own words.
- God, help me notice a need I can respond to with care…
- God, give me wisdom in the conversation about…
- God, help me give more attention to you when I am distracted by…
Keep the response personal
Name a real situation rather than trying to sound impressive. You can end after one sentence or continue as a letter. If an action comes to mind, choose something realistic and distinguish your plan from what the passage itself says.
