A practical guide
A simple seven-day Proverbs 31 reading plan
Start here
Read a small part of Proverbs 31 each day, then return to the whole chapter. This is an optional study schedule, not a biblical requirement.
Begin with the chapter’s shape
The chapter opens with teaching to Lemuel before the woman’s portrait begins in verse 10. Keep that change in view as you move through the week.

Follow the daily readings
Use this suggested schedule and stop after one observation each day.
- Day 1: verses 1–9 — responsibility and judgment.
- Day 2: verses 10–12 — value and trust.
- Day 3: verses 13–19 — work and decisions.
- Day 4: verses 20–24 — care and provision.
- Day 5: verses 25–27 — dignity and speech.
- Day 6: verses 28–31 — praise and reverence.
- Day 7: the whole chapter — revisit your first impressions.
Keep one line of notes
After each reading, write a verse number and one question or observation. If you miss a day, continue with the next unread passage. The aim is attention to the chapter, not completing a streak.
Common questions
Can I take longer than a week?
Yes. The divisions are a practical suggestion. Take more time with a passage when you need it.
Does Valor include this as a built-in plan?
This schedule is provided on this page. You can use Valor to read, explore verses, and write your own prayer responses.
