A practical guide

A brief reflection for the end of your working day

Start here

Look back on one task with Proverbs 31’s picture of skilled work in mind. Notice care and judgment, not just how many things you finished.

Read verses 13–19

Notice the materials, effort, and decisions in this part of the poem. The woman considers a field as well as working with her hands. The portrait includes attention and judgment, not only activity.

Choose one task to review

Write what the task required and one choice you made while doing it. Perhaps you checked a detail, asked for help, or changed your approach. Include paid work, study, or unpaid care according to your circumstances.

Leave one useful note for tomorrow

Write a next step that would make returning easier: a question to ask, a tool to prepare, or a detail to confirm. End the reflection there. You do not need to turn it into a review of every hour.

Common questions

Does this only apply to a paid job?

No. This exercise can include study, practical care, and other responsibilities.

What if I finished very little?

Choose one decision or difficulty to reflect on. A list of completed tasks is not the only useful observation.
